With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John J. Toomey Jr. (Canajoharie, New York), born in Flushing, New York, who passed away on October 23, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Toomey and Mary Toomey; and his son-in-law Eric Bowerman. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Schmidt Toomey; his children, Karen (Tony Sylvester), John J. (Cheryl Toomey) and Kathleen Bowerman; his grandchildren, AJ Sylvester, Joe Toomey, Charlotte Sylvester, Morgan Trahan (Gordon Trahan), Nicholas Toomey and Madison Koelbl; and his siblings, Joan Chadwick and Philip Toomey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
