He was predeceased by: his son Brian Pettinger; and his siblings, Doris Prior and Richard Pettinger. He is survived by: his wife Carole Pettinger (Sackett); his children, Glenn Pettinger (Marilyn), Todd Pettinger (Laura), Jill Pettinger (Michael "Bill" Hollister) and Steven Pettinger (Jill); his grandchildren, Samuel Pettinger (Carene), Joshua Pettinger (Jorilee), Tyler Pettinger (Alli Esposito), Kailee, Brianna Hollister, Maggie, Evan and Jesse Pettinger; his great grandchildren, Ezra and Charlotte; his siblings, Robert Pettinger (Florence), Carol Vincent and Gail Pettinger; his brother-in-law Kevin Prior; and his daughter-in-law Jackie Trent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 256 (454 N Main St, Canandaigua, NY 14424).
