He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Chriscaden and Hazel Chriscaden; his stepfather Ervin Northrup; his brother Leon (Helen); his son Thomas; and his granddaughters, Lauren Clancy and Cheyanna Nickel.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Ryan. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
