It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Waneta C. O'Dell of Canisteo, New York, born in Jasper, New York, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Sherman and Agnes Krusen Sherman; her husband Carl O'Dell Jr.; her brother Dale Sherman; and her brother-in-law Burdette Hulse.

She is survived by : her sons, Calvin O'Dell (Kellie) of Greenwood, Bruce O'Dell (Melody Boerner) of Thacherville and Dennis O'Dell (Barb Henry) of Hornell; her siblings, Patsy Hulse of Greenwood and Paul Sherman (Diane) of Greenwood; and her sister-in-law Leah Sherman of Greenwood. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
