He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Uptegrove and Clara Uptegrove (Norton); his siblings, Richard Uptegrove and Beatrice Richardson; and his grandson Simon Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Ruth Smith (Daniel) of Winona, KS, John Uptegrove (Denise) of Angola, NY, Mary Wixson of Thompsonville, MI, Joel Uptegrove (Heidi) of Cheyenne, WY, Jeremiah Uptegrove (Michelle) of Bernhards Bay, NY and Jacob Uptegrove of Perry, NY.; and his siblings, Raymond Uptegrove and Florence Merkle. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
