He was predeceased by: his wife Penelope Theobald; and his brothers, James S. May Jr. and Michael E. May. He is survived by: his sisters, Nancy May Tandy (Spencer Tandy), Mary Catherine King (Charles Dale) and Lorraine Maria King (Daniel Briggs); his nephew James Napper Tandy; his nieces, Catherine McGrath Tandy, Shannon Lorraine May, Zena Susan Briggs, Wendy May and Tanya Bos; his great-nephew Ever Tandy; and his great-niece India Tandy.
