He is survived by : his wife Peggy Hoyla; his children, Teresa Hoyla (Chris Rivard) of Port St and Robert Hoyla of Stuart, FL; his daughter-in-law Mary Beth Hoyla of Stuart, FL; his brother John Hoyla of Atlanta, GA; his sister-in-law Lorraine Hoyla of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Brandon Kirshner, Crystal Kirshner, Emma Hoyla and Thomas Hoyla; and his parents, Nicholas Hoyla and Rosalie Hoyla.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in support of dementia research to The Alzheimer's Association.
