He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth E. Bird and Pauline Bird (Hamilton); his sister Shirley Freeman; and his stepfather Rosswell Lockridge. He is survived by : his former life partner Harriet E. Brown of Adams Center; his daughter Susan Crumb (Grant) of Lorraine; his siblings, Muriel Tremont (Olin) of Watertown and Frank Bird of Denver, NC; his stepchildren, Terry Stinson (Andrew) of Central Square, William Gleason (Dorthea) of Central Square, Stephen Gleason (Shari) of Central Square and Edward Gleason of Brewerton; his grandchildren, Chris, Toby, Steven, William, Ashley and Kate; and his nieces and nephews, Joann, Brenda, Herb, Bruce, Neil, Gerald, Randy, Eric and Bill. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
