She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer John and Dorothy Elizabeth Prey Worden. She is survived by: her husband Roger F. Backus; her children, Matthew E. Backus, Tammy L. Aragona (John) and Nicole A. Congdon (Charles); and her grandchildren, Kristen, Joshua, Jenna (Aragona), Keith, Alexander and Jacob (Congdon). She is also survived by two sisters, and one brother.
