With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Genevieve Tavernia (Chateaugay, New York), born in Fort Covington, New York, who passed away on April 18, 2019 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Genevieve Tavernia to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Patterson and Simone Patterson (Gebo); her son James Tavernia Jr.; her granddaughter Brandy Tavernia; and her siblings, Warren Patterson and Charlotte Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Broeker (Brian) of Malone, Carolyn Gokey (Scott Silver) of West Chazy, Lilliam Tavernia (Chet Wares) of Malone, Jeffery Tavernia (Michele Oehler) of Hopkinton and Glenn Tavernia (Kellie) of Malone; and her siblings, Dale Patterson, Johnny Patterson, Pearl LaRock, Linda Collette (Jerry), Rose King (Dick) and Dorothy Lowell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the SPCA or Hospice of the North Country.
