She was predeceased by : her husband Theodore J. Dear; and her son Theodore P. Basior. She is survived by : her children, Dr. Jean Basior (Brian Maher), Rose McGinnis and Elaine Erickson (Kevin); her grandchildren, Brian A. Maher, Diana Maher, Kathryn Maher, Amy Marks, Shannon Leep (Jeremy), Jimmy McGinnis (Kelley), Molly McGinnis, Drew Erickson (Kristen) and Joel Erickson; and her sisters, Mary Pontianne (Emily Kubera), Leona Antkowiak and Josephine Sacilowski. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marian was a long-time volunteer for Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service where donations may be sent: 1199 Harlem Rd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
