It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernard Baker of Clayton, New York, born in Glens Falls, New York, who passed away on July 21, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard H. Baker and Dora B. Baker (Cornell); his siblings, Hubert of Glens Falls, Francis of Glens Falls, Charles of Glens Falls, Mary R. Baker of Glens Falls and Beatrice Brummagyn; and his daughter Heather Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene J. Butts; his children, Christine Tyler (Edward) of Avon, Nancy Villa (Daniel), N. Y. and Jeffrey Baker of Glens Falls; his stepchildren, Diane Ovitt and James Kidd (Heba) of Pickerington, Ohio; his grandchildren, Donnelly Tyler (Kia Xiong), Dr. Allison Villa, Adam Villa (Amber), Justin Baker (Jennifer), Melissa Baker (Paul Silver), Christina Kidd, Megan Ovitt, Mikayla Kidd and Ava Kidd; and his great grandchild James Villa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic there will be no public services.
A private graveside ceremony with military honors take place at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, N.Y. In loving memory of Bernie, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
