She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul C. Barton and Evelyn M. Schultz Barton; her spouses, William "Billy" Turgeon and William C. Heady; her children, William T. Heady, Victoria H. Rancier (Michael), Elisabeth "Lisa" Heady-Simpson (Michael Simpson, Collins), Richard A. Heady (Janet, Cape Vincent), Deborah T. Foisy (Matthew, LaFargeville), Thomas W. Turgeon (Lori, Clayton) and Clark Heady; and her siblings, Joyce Bancroft (David, Oxbow, Frederick) of LaFargeville, Richard Barton (Kay) of LaFargeville, Joan Fitchette of LaFargeville and James Barton (Carol, Clayton). She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
