He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Phyllis Mae Sweeney (Wixted); his granddaughter Samantha Jarvis-Viall; his siblings, Mary Savoy (Arthur), Phyllis MacKenzie and Dennis Sweeney; and his brothers-in-law, Matthew DiFiore and Matthew Coleman.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Carolyn Sweeney (McMillen); his children, Rhonda Bombard, Jamie Viall (Chad) and James Edward Sweeney III (Bridget); his stepdaughter Diana Heffernan; his grandchildren, Jonathan Heffernan (Luz), David Heffernan (Rosangela), Chad Viall Jr. (Kyliee), Richard Koonz and Gianna Viall; his grandson-in-law Thomas Jarvis-Viall; and his great grandchild Linkyn Jarvis-Viall.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Fellowship – Halfmoon Campus (1 Enterprise Ave, Clifton Park, NY 12065).
