It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn C. Scaringe Smitas Graves of Clifton Park, New York, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Michael J. Scaringe and Lucille Scaringe Josephson (Shaughnessy); her husband Daniel J. Smitas; her daughters, Kimberly A. Smitas (Peg Wilfong), Christine M. Van Buren and Carrie L. Casabonne; her siblings, Mickey Short (late Fred), Michael Scaringe, Bertha D. Josephson (Margaret Kierstein), Anthony Scaringe (Mary), Ray Scaringe (Lisa), Michelle Pirro (Michael) and Joan Monson (Roger); her granddaughter Thayer Van Buren; and her close friend Helen Hale. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
