It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Cooley Bentley in Clifton Springs, New York, born in Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on February 7, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Cooley and Marian Oliver Cooley; her husband Alexander Bentley Jr.; her son Douglas Barnard; her grandsons, Brantley and Conrad Edmonds; and her brother John Cooley.
She is survived by : her children, Diane Barnard Ledbetter (Thomas) and Greg Barnard; her stepsons, Michael Bentley (Kathy) and Peter McNally; her grandchildren, Sarah Edmonds, Alexandra Edmonds, Matthew Edmonds, Spencer Edmonds, Thomas Ledbetter, Robert Bentley, Laura Bodycott and James McNally; her sister-in-law Ruth Cooley; and her nieces, Autumn Renee and Chanson Cooley. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
