He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbert Messier and May Messier; his son Michael Messier Jr.; and his sister Janet Brierly. He is survived by : his wife Kimberly Elmore Messier; his daughters, Marcella Bouchey (Bert) of Clifton Park and Melissa Lambert (Paul) of Halfmoon; his stepchildren, Richard Halikias of Cohoes, Chad Halikias (Tiffany Ciccarelli) of Grafton and Zoe Mason (Zachary); his brothers, Gary Messier (Nancy) and David Messier of Waterford; and his grandchildren, Avery, Madalynn, Nicholas, Carrie and Carter.

Donations can be made in Michaels memory to The Paige Alexis Memorial Fund.
