He was loved and cherished by many people including : his nieces, Suzie Reed (Michael), Christina Wilson (Reed), Priscilla Tanase (Ted), Kathy Urquhart and Jane Nielsen; his partner Lucio Petrocelli; his siblings, Nancy Helen Bumpus-Buck and William Norton Bumpus; and his grandfather Hermon Carey Bumpus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to support his legacy and love of history to Marist College at The Hudson River Valley Institute.
