He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Winnick and Bertha Winnick (Slozenski); and his sister Constance Brown. He is survived by: his wife Kay Winnick; his sons, Gary Winnick, Dr. Richard Winnick and Dr. James Winnick; his sister Laura; his brother-in-law Gordon Myer; and his nieces, Christine Radi (Steven), JoAnn Myer-Foland and Rhonda Salay (Christopher).
