He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Jane Penrose; his children, John Penrose (Julie) and Dina Allan (Mark); and his grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Kevin, Mark Jr., Sarah, Nichole, Dave, Airplane Mechanic and Greenland.

In leu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, lustgarten.org.
