She was predeceased by : her husband Kenneth W. English (Bill); her parents, James Hopkins and Elizabeth Hopkins; her son David L. Brouwere; her grandson Greyson A. Guzylak; her stepson Kenneth W. English, Jr.; her siblings, Raymond Hopkins and Shirley Bennett; and her siblings-in-law, Gordon L. English, Tom English, Melvin Bennett and Mary Jane Williams.

She is survived by : her children, Megan Guzylak (Kevin) of Elmira, NY and Scott Brouwere (Carla) of Altay, NY; her stepdaughters, Dayna Eggleston (Joe) and Robyn McCollumn; her grandchildren, Kyle Brouwere (Brooke), Samuel Brouwere, Allison Brouwere and Madison Brouwere; her stepgrandson Dillon McCollumn (Kary); her great grandchild Colton Brouwere; her stepgreat-grandson Kenneth McCollumn; her pet Marcell; her siblings-in-law, Charlene Hopkins, Marguerite Taft, Patrica Patterson and Clarence Williams (Butch); and her great grandchild Karson McCollumn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Active in her community, Mabel volunteered with organizations like RSVP Volunteer Community and the American Association of University Women.
