He was predeceased by: his children, Michael J. Fields and Debra Mahon; and his siblings, Harold Fields, Paul Fields and Harriet Ethel Briggs.

He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Smith Paul and Harriet Ethel Histed Fields; his spouse Delores J. Cooper; his daughter Linda King (Danny) of Zephyrhills; and his sister Julia Washburn of Caneadea. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
