He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel Vallejo and Maria Luisa Diego Vallejo; his wife Hildelisa Alvarez; and his children, Maria Bernal (Mario) and Manuel Segundo Vallejo. He was also cherished by 3 grandchildren.
