He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald R. Thompson and Katherine Kingsley Thompson; and his siblings, Donald, Roger, Roland, Delores Jefferies, Patricia Baker, Janice Thompson and Monica Penz.
He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Botens; his daughters, Jessica Cook (Justin) of Medina, Ashley Thompson (Dale Thomas) of Belfast and Amy Deeb of Cuba; his grandchildren, Molly, Mason, Anna, Nora Cook, Aidyn Robbins and Cage Reesman; and his siblings, Lynn Thompson (Linda), Ronald Thompson (Barbara), Margaret Thompson of Belfast, Laureen Young of Belfast and Susan Wilson (John) of Belfast. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
