He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis S. Doan and Alice W. Eveland Doan; his daughter Elaine Swiatowy; his siblings, Irene McLoud Smith and Elwin R. Doan; and his former wife Helen Snyder Doan.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wheeler; his sons, Paul Doan (Kathi), Alan Doan (Rachel), Gary Doan and Neil Doan (Lynn); and his stepchildren, Dave Snyder (Linda), Deb McCarthy (Jud), Barbara Wheeler, David Wheeler (Judi) and Michael Wheeler (Kim). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
