Mary Louise Agoston Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Louise Agoston of East Amherst, New York, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mary Louise farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary Louise is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard F. Agoston; her parents, Otto, Sr. Scharf and Mary Scharf; and her brothers, Otto Scharf, Jr. (late Jean) and Joseph H. Scharf.
She is survived by: her children, Michael P. Agoston and Tina M. Gutekunst (Jeffrey); and her sisters, Betty Attea and Pauline Mattina. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Church (35 Edward St, Buffalo, NY 14202).
If desired, contributions may be made in her memory to the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Attention Palliative Care Department.
