He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret M. Kurtz; and his children, MaryAnn Strickland (Edward), Richard Kurtz (Jocelyn), Thomas Kurtz (Denise), Susan Witka, Joseph Kurtz (Margaret), Mark Kurtz (Debbie) and Paul Kurtz. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dietrich Funeral Home Inc. (2480 Kensington Ave, Amherst, NY 14226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Gregory the Great Church (200 St Gregory Ct, Buffalo, NY 14221).
