He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Schafer and Alice Schafer; and his wife Henrietta "Sue" Schafer. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (520 Oakwood Ave, East Aurora, NY 14052).
Memorials may be made to the East Aurora Moose Lodge, the East Aurora American Legion, the East Aurora Fire Department, or the East Aurora Police Department.
