Gaunay of East Greenbush, New York, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold A. Gaunay and Mary M. Gaunay (Navojoskey); his wife Margaret Brearton; his daughter Carol Gaunay; and his siblings, Jim Gaunay and Shirley Gilmore.

He is survived by : his sons, James Gaunay (Karen) of Malta and Timothy Gaunay (Angela) of Wynantskill; his grandchildren, Kristin Galante (Matthew), Eric Gaunay (Chelsey), Ashley Gaunay (Phil) and Justin Cooper (Kim); his great grandchildren, Gianna and Julia Galante; his caregiver Jennifer Siegal (David); and his nephews, Tommy Gilmore and Jamie Gilmore. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (175 Williams Rd, Troy, NY 12180). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
