With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kurt B. Kosavich of East Marion, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Kurt departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Kurt. Though Kurt may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Horton-Mathie Funeral Home (735 1st St, Greenport, NY 11944). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the East Marion Cemetery (195 Cemetery Road, East Marion, NY 11939).

“Dear Trudy and sons I burst out crying when Janice Pilla told me the news today. I had the pleasure and honor of working with Kurt in the Health Department, along with Janice, our boss, Betty Borowsky and Annie Stokes, and Michael Tria. Kurt loved to tease me about everything but he always said it is good to see me. He was going to meet me, Janice and Betty on the 20th of May at Ben's in Mineola. I am so very sorry he cannot be there with us but he will be there in spirit. Love, Lita Molof”
