She was predeceased by : her parents, Isaac Williams and Ferne Strickland; and her sisters, Gloria Butler, Joan Lewis and Norma Shamro.

She is survived by : her husband Bernard "Butch" Distel; her children, Ferne Distel, Donald Distel and Christopher Distel (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Donald Corso, Paige Cotto and Dylan Corso; her great grandchildren, Alana Marie and Aaliyah Jade; and her brother Donald Williams (Kathy).
