He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Mekos and Marilyn Punzo Mekos; his brother-in-law Brent Young; his sibling's children, Mary Katherine, Elizabeth and Jake Young; his aunts and uncles, Peter, Shelley Nelson Punzo, George Mekos and Rose Mekos Hancock; and his cousins, Matthew, Melissa, Sarah, Heather, Georgia and Cory.
In remembering Aaron, it would be fitting to make a contribution to Notre Dame High School, 1400 Maple Avenue, Elmira NY 14904, where his friendships, career plan, and sports memories began.
