He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Ireland and Constance Ireland. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Sodano) of Elmira, NY; his children, Patrick Ireland of Elmira, NY, Aidan Ireland of Elmira, NY, Maria Ireland Creamer (Andrew Creamer) of Needham, MA and Caroline Ireland Case (Thomas Case) of Boston, MA; and his sisters, Cynthia Ireland of Colorado, Elisabeth Rogowski of Colorado, Christine Lund of Colorado and Nancy Ireland of Colorado.
Alec was a passionate advocate for MDS research and bone marrow donation and had looked forward to participating in the Move for MDS Walk this October in Boston.
