He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Whitman and Carole S. Whitman (Epley); his uncles, Arthur Whitman and Richard Whitman; and his cousin David Whitman.
He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Whitman of Boston, MA; his siblings, Barbara Whitman of Elmira, NY and Scott Whitman (Dana) of Elmira, NY; his siblings' children, Zachary Baldwin (Danielle), Joel Whitman (Stephanie) and Linzee Payne (Steve) of Elmira, NY; his cousin Donald Whitman (Glen Allen); and his friend Liz Hunter (Doug).
