He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Towner and Shirley Towner (Kiper); and his siblings, Donald Towner and Joanne Rich. He is survived by : his wife Joan Towner of Elmira; his children, Thomas Towner (Cathy) of Mrytle Beach, SC, Deborah Towner (Bruce Cornell) of Elmira and Michelle Slaven (Michael Jr.) of Horseheads; his sisters-in-law, Judy Ference (John), Mary Jean Williams (George), Patty McCarrison (George) and Josie Ammon; his niece Nancy Burris-Burns; and his nephew William Hackett. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
