He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Thomson; his parents, Alexander Thomson and Katherine Thomson; and his brothers, Richard and William Thomson.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Lisa Thomson (David Hoppe), Scott Thomson and Cheryl Thomson. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Charles can be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
