She was predeceased by: her husband Clemburn Balch; and her siblings, Albert Scherer and Dorothy Casey. She is survived by: her sister Barbara McDaniel of Pasadena; her children, Derek Balch of Endwell and Barbara Lis (Edwin) of Endicott; her grandchildren, Matthew Balch of Solvay and Kimberlee Van Horn (Matthew) of Endwell; and her great grandchildren, Ivy and Jake Van Horn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid, church services will not be held.
