James A. Tainter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Tainter of Erieville, New York, who passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James A. Tainter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Leland H. Tainter; and his in-laws, Bernard and Anita E. McCarthy (Odell). He is survived by: his mother Dorothy L. Tainter (Peters); his wife Jennifer M. Tainter (McCarthy); his children, Nathaniel J. Tainter and Sophia H. Tainter; his sisters, Joni M. Golden (Paul) and Janine A. English (Jeff); and his brother-in-law James W. McCarthy. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael E. Brown Funeral Services (2333 Fenner Rd, Cazenovia, NY 13035). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church (12 Mill St, Cazenovia, NY 13035). A burial was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at the Erieville Evergreen Cemetery (2674-2698 Co Hwy 67, Erieville, NY 13061).
