He was predeceased by : his parents, William Farrell and Olive Flicker Farrell; his wife Nancy; his children, Nancy Smith, Gary and Bobby Farrell; and his siblings, Mary Campbell, Gertrude Carroll, William and Norman Farrell.

He is survived by : his children, Alfred E., Jr. of Missouri, Terry Traver Lasher and Robyn Overbaugh. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
