She was predeceased by: her spouse Sidney "Sid" Couchey; her parents, Wallace Horne and Ruth McElroy Horne Samson; and her siblings, Wallace Horne, Charles Horne and Kathy Holton (Fred).
She is survived by: her children, Brian Couchey (Suze) of Inman, SC and Laura Abate (Anthony) of Brunswick, NY; her grandchildren, Andrew Couchey (Becki), Ben Couchey (Rachel), Abbi Mabbit (Ethan), James Couchey, Peter Couchey (Gabbi), Lucas Abate and Cristian Abate; and her great grandchildren, Gideon, Penny Couchey, Winter, Valley, Alice Mabbit, Jac and Eliza Couchey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
