He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry I. Brooks and Gracie K. Carter Brooks; his grandsons, Paul Brooks, III and Thomas Brooks; and his siblings, Samuel, Thomas, Harry, William Brooks and Dorothy Hurst.
He is survived by : his wife Carol; his children, Paul Brooks, Jr. (Kris) of Teeds Ferry, NC, Bradley Brooks (Kathy) of Phelps, NY, Ralph Brooks (Melissa) of Serville, TN and Shelly Kenyon (Bruce) of Romulus, NY; and his siblings, James Brooks, Benjamin Brooks of Hurlock, MD, Ida Pearl Moss of Greensboro and Lorelle Holder (James) of Hurlock, MD. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
