It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon A. Wegener (Fayetteville, New York), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her wife Sue Hansen; her stepchild Keoki Spaulding (Brent); her grandchildren, Tulpen Hansen-Schwoebel and Greta Hansen-Schwoebel; her sibling Bernie Wegener (Bonnie); her sibling's children, Elizabeth Stephens, Katie Johnson, Megan Wilson, Sarah Qualls, Michael Wegener, Susan Miller and Patti Wegener; and her friends, Rose Miller, Lois Needham, Mary Gillen and Sandy Davis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel (7191 E Genesee St, Fayetteville, NY 13066). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sharon's memory may be made to SAGE-Upstate, Syracuse Community Choir or Tioughnioga Lake Preservation Foundation.
