We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2021, at the age of 62, Wilson R. Bickford of Fine, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert "Ivan" and Madeleine Bickford (Wilson) of Fowler; his daughter Amanda Bickford; his parents-in-law, John and Ruth Fuller; his brother Gary Bickford; and his niece Melissa Bickford.

He is survived by : his wife Glenda Fuller; his friends, Pound Paws, Toys and Tots; his daughter Amy Ordway (Brennan); his grandchildren, Alexander Ordway and Lauren Ordway; and his siblings, Kerry Bickford (Nancy) of Fine, Sandra Edwards (Dave) of Gouverneur and Cheryl Bickford of Gouverneur. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends for Pound Paws 55 Owl Road, PO Box 394 Gouverneur, NY 13642.

“I started painting by watching William Alexander, then Bob Ross. My girlfriend told me about this painter on our PBS station that I might be interested in. One show and I was hooked. His technique to painting made it so easy to follow and his jokes made his show that much more special. My thoughts and prayers to his family. “I just learned of Mr. Bickford’s passing from watching his show. I am saddened by the news. I tune into his painting show every Wednesday morning here in New Jersey. He seemed such a sweet, gentle man and I enjoyed watching him paint and tell his corny joke every episode. Please know he will be sadly missed by me. My condolences go to his family.”
