He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clara Griesser and Erich Griesser; and his sons, Glenn of Shelburne, VT, Jamie of Shandaken, NY and Jon of Los Osos, CA. He was also cherished by spouses and seven grandchildren.

He suffered from Alzheimer's and succumbed to complications of pneumonia.
