He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Simon Safier and Sabina Safier; his wife Oleksandra Principato; his stepchild Kira [Jay]; his daughter-in-law Miriam; his grandchildren-in-law, Elaine and Barry [Janet]; his grandchildren, Joshua, Emily and Austen; and his sister Felicia.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to Feed the Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
