With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Caples of Fort Edward, New York, who passed away on December 27, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester Wible and Irene Wible (Measeck); her husband James E. Caples; her son James L. Caples; her grandson Michael R. Potter; and her brothers, Lester Wible and James Wible.

She is survived by : her children, Cynthia Potter (James) of Naples, FL, Kathleen Rourke (Thomas) of Gansevoort, NY, Edward Caples (Lisbeth) of Wilton, NY and Colleen VanTassel (Alan) of Moreau, NY.; and her grandchildren, Kristen Conley (Potter), Nicole Dorton (Caples), Jennifer Forrester (Caples), Matthew Rourke, Danielle Koch (Rourke), Abigael Rourke, Jacob Rourke, Devin Caples, Michaela Caples, Dylan VanTassel and Emily VanTassel.
