He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Barrett and Ruth Barrett; his daughter Renee Bishop; and his sisters, Darlene Brown and Diane Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Wood of Fort Ann; his children, Mike Dumas (Andrea) of Queensbury, Lora Doane (Alan) of Whitehall, Kristy Rathbun (Randy) of Fort Ann and Chad Wood (Andrea) of Glens Falls; and his siblings, Morris Barrett and Rose Lambert of Fort Edward. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the M. B. Kilmer Funeral Home (82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
