He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Wilkes (Schultz) and George Wilkes. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Bassett; his daughter Lynne Weir (James); his grandchildren, Matthew Weir (Laura) and Jamie Amuso (Zach); his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Ella Mae Bassett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
