He was predeceased by: his brother James (David). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughters, Claire and Emily; his grandsons, Owen, Declan and Cole; and his siblings, Barbara, Beverly, Darwin (Bud) and Donald. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and their.

With the Covid pandemic, Sidney and Joyce left Berkeley for Bozeman, to be with their daughter and grandsons.
