It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lenore Leavitt of Gabriels, New York, born in Saranac Lake, New York, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Newell and Pauline Newell (Campbell); her husband William Leavitt; and her brothers, Loren Newell and Harold Lovell Newell.
She is survived by: her brother Harold Lovel; her sons, Robert Leavitt of Easley, SC, Arthur Leavitt (Eileen) of Gabriels and David Leavitt (Marybeth) of Glenmont, NY.; her grandchildren, Scott Leavitt (Jennifer), Jennifer Tuggey (Michael) of Gabriels, Timothy Leavitt (Emily) of Allen, TX, Jeffrey Leavitt of Willsboro, Susan Colletti (Mike) of Clifton Park, Jonathon Leavitt of Chicago, Christine Leavitt (Adam Lamica) of Voorheesville, Alissa Pryde (Dan) of East Greenbush and Erin Tackett (Nick) of Portsmouth, VA.; her great grandchildren, Abby, Anna, Connor, Jackson, Matthew, Georgia, Theodore and Ava; and her brothers, Richard Newell of Paradox Lake and Don Newell of Cohoes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the continued health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no funeral services for Lenore Leavitt at this time.
Memorial donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Saranac Lake or the Paul Smiths Gabriels Volunteer Fire Department in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home.
